Grand Rapids First wants to be a part of teaching your children to love God with all of their heart.
The high-energy Kids’ Ministry is led by a remarkably creative staff that provides an environment that your children will love. They’ll have so much fun that they won’t want to miss a single Sunday! Kids get to hang out with children their own age, learning and growing, all while having a fun time in a secure environment. Whether they’re having a blast on Moose Mountain in our Kids First Nursery area or enjoying the multi-media environment with friends in the Kids First Auditorium, our purpose is to creatively ignite their imagination to the truth of who God is and teach them to live out that truth in their lives.
At each service, our Kids First Nursery team of trusted, joy-filled, loving parents and volunteers teach our children, newborn through first grade, the fun and simple message of Jesus in a safe, irresistible, kid-friendly, and educational environment.
Kids First is our high-energy kids’ ministry for 2nd through 5th graders. Each week, our team of enthusiastic and passionate leaders help teach our elementary kids through lively, engaging worship music, how to have fun learning about the Bible.
My wife, Josie, and I along with our two children are excited to be able to engage hundreds of kids each week, bringing the Bible to life through the creative use of set design, props, music, video, animations, and storytelling. We intentionally structure our weekly Sunday morning fun around a multi-media environment. Whether you like cool set designs, energetic music, funny stories and videos, or just hanging with friends, Kids First is where you want to be every Sunday at 10 am. Our dedicated team of volunteers and leaders is committed to showing you just how much God loves your kids and so do we.

Kids First Auditorium – Nursery Entrance
Wednesday nights for our 2nd through 5th grade boys and girls are both exciting AND impactful! With kid-friendly worship music time as well as age-specific small groups, we teach them how to apply Christian principles at both home and in school.
We join you in celebrating God’s gift of your child! Prayerfully consider dedicating your child to the Lord. Child dedication is not a baptism. It is, however, a parental promise before the Lord to raise this child in a godly, Christ-centered home.
